NET Framework

Post by ade1 » Sun May 20, 2012 12:50 pm

The new update to Vueminder will not work with Firefox. This is to do with Net Framework and when will this issue be rectified?

I don't know what you're talking about. Firefox can run on computers that have .NET Framework 4.0. Maybe you have an incompatible add-on or something. To prove my point, I used Firefox to respond to this post.

Hi Bucksnort, could you try reinstalling the .NET Framework 4.0 using the link below, and let me know if this doesn't fix it?

Uninstalled net and reinstalled and no difference! And you have not ever fixed the clock reverting to analog when it is set to digital. Do you test on a modern computer?? Both my core i7's have the same problem.

I test on an Intel i7, as well as a number of other computers ranging from very high-end to very low-end. The .NET Framework installed without any issue in my testing, on ALL computers. I didn't have to do anything special. It just worked.

I don't know why it's not working for you. Maybe you didn't do as instructed and use the link provided above to install the full .NET 4.0 Framework? I also don't know why you're seeing the clock switch from digital to analog. It doesn't do that when I test it.

Hi Bucksnort, VueMinder requires the "extended" .NET 4.0 profile, which is the full install. If you used Windows Update to install .NET 4.0, it probably only installed the "client" profile, which is a subset of the full .NET 4.0 functionality and is missing some assemblies (such as, System.Web) which VueMinder requires for proper operation. That's why the message is appearing stating the required .NET version is missing.

You can install the full version of the .NET Framework 4.0 using the link below. This link was also provided in my previous response.
