Hi, thanks for taking care of every minor issue. Now that I know what was causing it, I have no problem keeping the window within the visible area of the screen. I hope you don't have too many users as silly as me :)

The problem with the desktop calendar position being reset if a part of the calendar is outside the screen area has been fixed for the next version (10.0). A beta is available if you'd like an early look. It can be downloaded here:

I was trying to duplicate this issue and find out how it behaves.

Now I see that it still forgets the last window size, but it doesn't open with a "standard size", it opens with a size I once saved. But I have no idea how I "saved" that size.

Where does VueMinder save the last window size and when?

I'm talking about the normal calendar window, not the desktop calendar. I'm using Beta 10.

The most recent size, position, and window state (normal or maximized) is saved in the file named "ProgramSettings.xml". The path to this folder is specified in the Program Options.

The settings are saved every time the main window is moved or resized. I'm not sure why it's getting an older size and I've been unable to duplicate the problem.

What is the last modified date on your ProgramSettings.xml file? Maybe there's a problem writing to the file? Is it marked read-only?

I found that the settings are saved every time the main window is moved only. If I only resize the window nothing is saved.

Thank you for the information. I've fixed this for the next version. I'll post a reply when a new beta is ready.

Version 10.0 Beta 11 is now available and should (I think) fix the problem. The beta can be downloaded here:
