Email Trouble

Hello, I am unable to get the email function to send en email. I am using the registered Pro version 8.1.3 with Windows 7 64-Bit. My SMTP server is on port 465. I have a username and password for this account, and connection security for the account is SSL/TLS. I use Thunderbird for an email client, which works fine.

I get what looks like a partial error message:
An error occurred while attempting to send a test email:
Syntax error, command unrecognized. The server response was:
(that's the end of the error message)

I would think"Server Requires Authentication" and "Use SSL" should both be checked. I have tried every combination, but cannot get it to work.

Tried it on two different computers, no dice.

Hi David, welcome to the forums. Are you using the same outgoing mail (SMTP) settings that you have configured in Thunderbird? If so, it's possible your security software or firewall is interfering with VueMinder's sending of email.

The settings I know to work for Yahoo mail are below:
Server (SMTP):
Port: 25
Use SSL: No
Authentication: Yes (enter the same username as password you use for logging into Yahoo)

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you're still unable to get it to work.
