Outlook not synching with Vueminder

Outlook does not appear to synch with vueminder - I am running windows 7 professional and I have to shut down and restart to get items to work initially.

Hi John, welcome to the forums. If I understand what you're saying, Outlook sync doesn't initially work until after a reboot. Is that correct? This is a problem that can sometimes occur when VueMinder attempts to connect to Outlook. When I've seen this in the past, it was due to Outlook being started before VueMinder. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to fix this because it's a problem with the Outlook API.

Are you seeing this problem consistently? Does it occur even when VueMinder is started before Outlook? The problem should be rare, so if you're seeing it a lot, there could be some sort of Outlook configuration problem on your PC. It will be hard to pin down because Outlook gets complicated with all the various "stuff" it does to your computer when installed. A reinstall of Outlook might fix it, but that's just a guess.

I got it to work by importing the Outlook events and then it seems to work fine.

I am using Outlook 2010 and the only way it will synch is by manually importing the events.

Hmm, if you're able to manually import events, then you should be able to enable Outlook sync. Under the hood, it's the same code that does both. Have you tried enabling Outlook sync on the Calendar Properties window? Are you seeing a problem when doing this?

I think it is working after the last update from Microsoft. No problems today.
