overdue reminders

Post by mikesn9 » Mon Apr 06, 2020 7:22 am

I have a couple of old reminders that pop up ads way over due
I have one that says it's 376 weeks overdue. I have gone searching the calendar back that far, and there are no events in that time frame.
How can I eliminate these popups?

Hi mikesn9, I'm not sure why such old reminders are appearing. If you see the reminder again, right-click the reminder's row on the popup reminder window and select "Delete" from the popup menu (or press Ctrl+D). You shouldn't see the reminder again after deleting the associated event.

with a right click the only option is 'open'. when I click on that, I get a popup :"cannot open the file for this reminder. you changed one of the occurrences of this item, and this instance no longer exists. close any open items and try again"
cntrl d or cntrl D did nothing.
this is a reminder for a weekly occurrence. I will see if deleting and re-adding the occurence wil help.

Deleted all of the weekly reminders, same issue.
377 weeks over due: Jan 14, 2013.
this has been going on for quite a while, obviously.

Hi mikesn9, it sounds like you might have a corrupted data file. Please try these steps:

1. Use the "File -> Export" menu commands to export each of your event, task, and note calendars to iCalendar (ics) files. Also export your contacts using the Outlook CSV format.

2. Click the "File -> Exit" menu command to exit VueMinder.

3. Download and run the file linked below to reset VueMinder's data file.
https://www.vueminder.com/download/ResetData.zip

4. Restart VueMinder.

5. Use the "File -> Import" menu commands to import the files that were exported in step 1.

Please let me know if that doesn't fix the problem.

I reset it. I used backup data, restore data instead of export import,
We'll see Monday if that worked.

Thanks,
Mike
