Lifetime updates purchased - but now have 2 new PCs

Post by gmh » Wed Jun 19, 2019 10:54 am

My husband and I have been using VueMinder Pro for some years. We each have a lifetime Protection Update Code. How do we go about installing VueMinder Pro on the 2 new PCs and continue using the Lifetime Protection? We no longer use the old PCs.
Looking forward to a prompt reply so we can continue to use and share our Calendar.

Hi gmh, did you save a copy of the license installer you received after purchasing? If so, you can run the license installer on your new computers.

If you didn't save a copy of the license installer, please send your request to support@vueminder.com. Include your full name and the email address you used when you originally purchased. A replacement license installer will be provided if you have lifetime updates or if your update protection hasn't expired yet.

Now have problems with SQL - I followed the instructions on your website and all seemed to go OK. But I can't get in to the Workbench. See the attachment above for the error message saying a file is missing.

Which version of MySQL Server did you install? I’d recommend version 5.7.22.1 because later versions contain bugs which could result in the error you’re seeing. If you installed a later version, you can use the Control Panel to uninstall. Version 5.7.22.1 can be downloaded using the link below:
https://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MyS ... 7.22.1.msi

Does reinstalling MySQL Server 5.7.22.1 fix the problem?

I used version 6.33, so will uninstall it and install the version you recommend. Thanks for a prompt reply.

Thanks! Now have connection to SQL Workbench and calendar is shared between my husband's and my PCs.
Only one problem remains. My Calendar has the various categories set up with colours and fonts etc. On my husband's PC although the categories list seems to be set up the same his actual calendar events are all the default black standard font. How do I incorporate MY colour scheme? I hope you can understand this garbled explanation.

On your husband's computer, click the "View -> Color Events Using -> Category Colors" menu command. Does that fix it?
