Stop Vueminder contacting Outlook

I have turned off syncing Vueminder > Outlook
However Vueminder is still contacting outlook and this is causing problems.
How can I stop this?

Hi slouw, VueMInder will only connect to Outlook if one or more calendars are configured to sync. My guess is that you disabled syncing of one of your calendars, but there's another calendar that is still configured to sync. Please open the Calendar Properties of each of your calendars and verify the calendar is not configured to sync with Outlook.

If that doesn't fix it, have you tried rebooting? If you still see the problem after rebooting, what specific indication are you seeing that VueMinder is trying to connect to Outlook? Maybe it's not VueMinder, but some other program that is trying to connect.

This problem remains accross multiple weeks/months so reboots do not help.
The proxy indicator for the problem is an outlook icon showing another app is accessing it.
This icon becomes active periodically only if Vueminder is running.
If I exit Vueminder then the symptoms stop.
I have deleted all calendars accept one and sync is turned off for that one calendar.
Give me a day or 2 and I will let report if things have changed
