I just exported my Windows Live Mail contacts to a csv file, then imported that file into VM.
I found that a few contacts were dropped from the import.
( I can see those missing contacts in the csv file. )
The contacts that were dropped had a specific format in the first name, i.e.:
"fname JR" & "fname SR", with identical last names.
VM dropped one or the other during import.
Maybe I chose an incorrect import option, but maybe this is a VM error.
This is not a big problem for me because I should be able to manually add those dropped contacts.
But maybe this is a small VM bug.
Thank you.

Re: Import Contacts via csv file drops contacts
Hi chota300, thank you for the feedback. When importing, if there's no "File As" column to uniquely identify contacts, VueMinder will use a combination of the first and last name fields to generate the "File As" value. Each contact needs to have a unique "File As" value. It sounds like the JR or SR portion of the last name field is being ignored, resulting in the second contact not importing.
I'll work on fixing this in the next release.
