I've had VM Lite (2016.09 currently) for a long time with no trouble for years.
It started crashing occasionally, and then frequently. It either crashes and disappears, or it locks up and I have to close it via Task Manager. It always reopens with no problem, although the data I've added or changed before the crash sometimes has disappeared and I have to reenter that data.
Is my best option to delete the app and then reinstall?
If so - I know that there is a way to backup my calendar completely including reminders, etc., and reinstall that data.
Can you link me to the instructions for doing that please.

Hi Gogo, it sounds like there's something wrong with your VueMinder installation. To fix the problem, use the Control Panel to uninstall VueMinder (this won’t remove any data). Reboot after uninstalling. Next, download and reinstall using the link below:

If that doesn’t solve it, please make sure you have .NET Framework 4.6.2 installed. You can download it using the link below:

If you still see the problem after installing .NET Framework 4.6.2, there might be a problem with the program data file. You can use the utility linked below to completely reset the data.

After resetting the data and restarting VueMinder, use the “Restore Data” command on the File menu to restore from a backup.
