I am getting the error Expected node type was XmlDeclaration, but actual type is Element, when I try to connect to an Exchange mail account. I believe it may be running on Outlook 365 - not sure. Anyway round this?

Hi James, what’s the URL when you connect to Outlook on the web? Does it start with “https://outlook.office365.com/owa”? If so, you’re using Exchange Online. Otherwise, you’re using Outlook.com, which is Microsoft’s free version and isn’t the same thing as Exchange Online. VueMinder doesn’t currently sync with Outlook.com, although I do have this on my to-do list.

If you're using Exchange Online, then see the following thread for instructions:

If you’re using Outlook.com instead of Exchange Online, then you can follow these steps to add your calendar to VueMinder. However, the calendar will be read-only in VueMinder because 2-way syncing with Outlook.com isn’t available yet.

1. Open Outlook.com in your web browser and switch to the calendar page.
2. Click the Share menu and select your birthday calendar from the drop-down.
3. Click “Get a link”.
4. Click the Create button under “Show event details”.
5. Copy the URL provided in the “Import into other calendar applications” box.
6. In VueMinder, click the “Add Calendar Subscription” command on the File menu.
7. Paste the URL into the “Enter the iCal file or URL” field.
8. Click the OK button. You should see your events within a few seconds.
