Deleting Google Cal

Post by jwsadler » Thu Apr 16, 2015 8:37 pm

Hi,

I added a couple of colleagues google calendars to VueMinder, and then decided that because unchecking the calendars doesn't stop their events showing in the other windows I decided to delete the accounts. However, the accounts have over 4000 events in them (combined), and when I try to delete one or all of them VueMinder crashes.

Any thoughts or help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

James.

Hi James, welcome to the forums. To delete a calendar, right-click the calendar's name and select "Delete Calendar" from the popup menu. Deleting a calendar shouldn't cause any error messages. If you get an error, try rebooting. If rebooting doesn't fix it, can you send the error details (or a screenshot of the error message) to support@vueminder.com?

Hi

Unfortunately after about 2-3 minutes of the app trying to delete the account. I get a windows message saying the app stopped working theres no option to continue waiting and eventually the app closes. Once it restarts the accounts are still there. Are there any logs produced that I can check?

Hi James, thank you for the information. It sounds like there might be a problem with the VueMinder installation. To fix the problem, use the Control Panel to uninstall VueMinder (this won’t remove any data). Reboot after uninstalling. Next, download and reinstall using the link below:
http://www.vueminder.com/Download.aspx

If you still see the problem after reinstalling VueMinder, there might be a problem with the program data file. You can use the utility linked below to completely reset the data.
http://www.vueminder.com/download/ResetData.zip

After resetting the data and restarting VueMinder, use the “Restore Data” command on the File menu to restore from a backup.

Please let me know if that doesn't fix the problem or if you have any other questions.
