NTP conflicts?

Post by evang0999 » Thu Mar 19, 2015 5:44 pm

I use an NTP client to keep workstation clocks synched to a timesource.

Sometime after installing VueMinder, this stopped working.
I finally traced NTP calls to a *lot* of other timeservers to VueMinder.

Is there a way to prevent VueMinder doing this?

Hi Evan, welcome to the forums. VueMinder will attempt to get the correct time from an NTP server, so VueMinder doesn't need to rely on the local system time when figuring out how to sync changes. Unfortunately, there's no mechanism to disable this. If you don't sync VueMinder with anything external, you could add a rule to your firewall to block VueMinder from trying to connect to an NTP server.
