New event can't change times

New event can't change times

When I create a new event in todays top list (so not at a specific time) the radio buttons to change the time are not working, or if I click to the right and get a selection of times, when I click on one it doesn't register. Then when I try and save it I get at error message about processing a date which is in the wrong format. What's going on?

Hi highspinner, the date format when editing an event is controlled by the Regional Date/Time format settings specified via the Windows Control Panel.

Control Panel -> Clock, Language, Region -> Change the date,time, or number format. Set the "Short date" format as needed. If the desired format isn't available in the drop-down, click "Additional Settings", click the "Date" tab, and then customize however you'd like. You might need to restart VueMinder after changing the format.

Does that fix it?

Hi Dan:

Nope didn't fix it.

The specific error message I get is as follows:

"An error occurred processing the specified date. The Value was Sat/15/11/2014 A valid format would be Fri/14/11/2014 1:23 PM"

I tracked down the Windows Control Panel Item, now under Region and Languarge but it doesn't have a specific format for the entire error message string mentioned, with separate format fields for date and time, not one together.

Have upgraded to latest version.

Hi Mike, please try this:

1. Exit VueMinder by right-clicking its icon in the task tray and selecting "Exit".
2. In the Control Panel, go to "Clock, Language, and Region".
3. Click "Change the date, time, or number format".
4. Make sure the format you have selected is the correct format for your country.
5. Click the "Additional settings" button and then click the "Reset" button.
6. Click OK to close the Region and Language window.
7. Restart VueMinder.

Does that fix it? If not, could you let me know what country you're in, so I can try testing with the same regional settings?
