after update to ver 11, no way to connect to google calendar

After I updated to ver 11, when I try to add or connect to google calendar I get the following:

Could not load file or assambly "System.Core.Version=2.0.5.0.Culture =neutral.
PublicKey Token=7cec85d7bea7798e.Retargetable=yes or one of its dependencies.The
given assembly or codebase was invalid. (Exception from HRESULT=0x80131047)

I can go to gmail and login whitout problem from my explorer, so its not an issue with internet.

Any help????

Hi trilogcorp, my best guess is that something went wrong with the VueMinder installation. To fix it, use the Control Panel to uninstall VueMinder (this won’t remove any data). Next, download and reinstall using the link below:

If that doesn’t solve it, there could be something wrong with the .NET Framework 4.0 installation. If you’re not running Windows 8, you can use the Control Panel to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (Extended Profile). Reboot after uninstalling and then use the link below to reinstall the .NET Framework.

Yes, it was .NET Framework 4.0, I updated and now it works again. Anyway, thanks for your help, keep going with your great support: Thanks

Also can't now sync with my Google calendar and the reinstall fix has not solved the problem.
If I try to again add the google calendar I get a message box which states Vueminder is unable to connect to Google check network connection and firewall settings.
But there is nothing wrong with either.

I have a bad feeling it is something simple. I posted a new question here: http://www.vueminder.com/forums/phpBB3/ ... f=5&t=1284 with some of the specific difficulties I am having. I noticed that this post seemed to be an older one.

I apologize for the problem. VueMinder 11 was updated to use the latest Google Calendar API, which fixes a number of syncing problems. Unfortunately, this requires Windows to have the latest updates. Specifically, update KB2468871 is needed. It can be downloaded here:

If installing that update doesn’t fix the problem, there’s an intermittent bug in the latest Google Calendar API which I believe is related. A correction is in work for the next version of VueMinder. I can't duplicate the problem on any of my test computers, so I'll post a beta here in case you want to try it and let me know if it fixes the problem.

I installed the Microsoft update KB2468871 as per your recommendation and that seems to have fixed the problem.

For anyone that is still seeing a problem after installing KB2468871, I believe the problem has been fixed. However, it's not something I'm able to definitely confirm as being corrected because I haven't been able to duplicate the problem on my test computers.

A beta is available if anyone wants to try it and let me know if it fixes the problem. The beta can be downloaded here:

As far as I can tell, this problem should be fixed in 11.0.1. All feedback received from beta testers indicated the problem has been solved.

Version 11.0.1 has been officially released. To update, click the "Check for Updates" command on the Help menu.
