category colours in timeline view

Post by dbutcher » Wed Jan 22, 2014 12:38 pm

We are using VueMinder Pro 10.1.9 (trial version) to display our production schedule.
Is there a way to include category colours in the timeline view. We would like the category colours to show as "flags" beside each event. The event colour is based on the calendar, and the category shows as a small square beside the event.
I've attached three screenshots. The Events view and Month view show exactly what we are hoping for.
The Timeline view shows only the event without the additional category colour.

Please let me know how to configure this properly.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, there isn't currently a mechanism to show a color sidebar in the Timeline View. However, I've added this to my to-do list and will post a reply when it's completed.

In the meantime, since it appears you're using a single calendar for everything, try the "Color Events Using -> Category Colors" command on the View menu. This will make it easier to see which category your events are associated with when using the Timeline view and all other view types.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions.

Thanks Dan.
OK, we can use the 'color events by category' option that you suggested.
Thanks for your help.
